Moore County Republican
Party
As Chairman of the Moore County Republican Party, I am
announcing the initiation of the party's "Victory 2008 Program".
This program is designed to build support for Republican candidates both
here in Moore County and across the State of North Carolina.
While the Moore County GOP cannot take sides and support individual
Republican candidates in a primary contest, it is up to the party
organization to provide basic support services for conservative
candidates seeking public office. In this critical election year when
virtually all elective offices are in contention, it is imperative that
the Moore County Republican Party do all within its power to elect
Republicans and other non-partisan candidates who adhere to fundamental
principles of conservative government responsive to the needs of the
citizens.
The success of the "Victory 2008 Program" will be
dependent upon securing adequate funding through various fund raising
activities to establish, equip and staff a Party Headquarters Office to
serve as a base of operation for candidates seeking public office and as
a place where citizens can interact with candidates and obtain
information on critical issues to become better informed. The
Headquarters Office is providing space for meetings, for preparation and
distribution of party literature, and for critical telephone, fax and
computer communication infrastructure to assist candidates in getting
out the vote. An often overlooked aspect of the election process is the
support of conservative candidates for non-partisan Judiciary and School
Board offices. It is especially important to ensure that the voters are
well informed on their track records and basic philosophies since the
rules no longer permit them to indicate a party affiliation. As an
adjunct to these efforts, the newly established official party website,
www.moorecountyncgop.org,
will
be used extensively as a vehicle for communication, information and
research accessible to any citizen seeking to become better informed.
Check the website often for the latest information.
Plans are well under way to raise the money necessary to implement
the "Victory 2008 Program". The Party's Red,
White and Blue Fund Raising Gala was held on Saturday April
5, 2008 at the Members Club of Pinehurst Country Club at 6:00 p.m.
Senator Elizabeth Dole was the featured speaker.
Committed support for the Gala came in from around the State.
Our Party is excited about the "Victory 2008 Program".
We believe this is a special and unique opportunity to make a difference
in the future of Moore County and in the State of North Carolina.
Thanks to all who believe in and support our efforts in the cause of
good government.
